Excursion to Shogran Valley and Siri Paye Meadows

Girls Trip to Shogran Valley and Siri Paye Meadows

Virtual University Sialkot campuses arranged an exciting two days’ excursion tour to the “Shogran Valley and Siri Paye Meadows” from 8th June, 2022 to 10th June, 2022 for female students. Shogran is a mountain resort of 2,362 meters’ altitude in the Kaghan Valley of Pakistan’s Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province. It’s located just over 200 kilometers from Islamabad between Balakot and Naran, making it an excellent destination for a short getaway. The valley is the gateway to the beautiful Siri Paye Meadows, which cover the hilly peaks of Kaghan like a soft blanket at an altitude of 2,895 meters.

Students found Shogran a very suitable place for a short trip to the mountains. They enjoyed cool weather, wide green meadows, epic mountain views, and relaxing pine forests. It’s like Naran, but less crowded. Siri Paye Meadows is without a doubt the top attraction in Shogran. Students enjoyed jeep rides from Shogran to Siri Paye. The ride takes about one hour on the mountain road, which gives you more time to appreciate the bumpy experience. Girls also loved horse riding roaming the lush green meadows of Siri Paye.

The weather in Shogran was relatively mild during day time but got quite chilly at night because of rain and wind storms. On return students enjoyed a small waterfall of Kiwai and River Kunhar. Trip before exams gives a much-needed break from the monotony and the stress of the everyday student routine as well as a source of fun.
