Virtual University is the First Pakistan’s ON-LINE Federal Government University.
Orientation classes were conducted for Fall Admission Students on 17 th and 18 th October both morning and evening sessions. We exercise maximum emphasis on admission seeking students’ to attend our well organized and comprehensive Orientation classes to introduce to them the ON-LINE mode of learning especially designed to Virtual University VULMS and explain the diversity in a conventional and ON-LINE mode of academics. We informed all the students by SMS, personal email about four sessions of orientation classes so that Job Orientated students can also benefit.
We conducted the classes morning and evening (two sessions per day). Each session was of 4 hours each with Multimedia presentations. About 550 students attended the Orientation classes and Labs but we are going to continue training the remaining as we understand that our orientation is so good that there is minimal drop outs and we are able to convince the students that the future of education in 21 st Century is ON-LINE.
Students were familiarized with VULMS and soft wares like “Math Type” and VUCLPL. We also gave some assignments to students to help them understand computers and ON-LINE mode of learning. The students were overwhelmingly impressed with VU way of working.
