Cancer accounts for one in eight deaths globally. In the 20th century, the tobacco epidemic killed 100 million people worldwide. In Pakistan, almost 40% cancer occurs in adult males due to use of tobacco. CCI organized an Anti Tobacco Awareness Session with the Team of Shaukat Khanum Memorial Cancer Hospital on 4th May, 2016 At Shahabpura Campus.
The purpose of this session was to raise public awareness about this tobacco epidemic and underscore the antagonistic effects of using tobacco. Presentation given by Mr. Amir was very informative. Question & Answer session had also been arranged at the end of the presentation. Large number of students and staff attended this session.
